This guide covers the standard procedure for hot-swapping a malfunctioning LED module on Pensar LED indoor fixed displays using a vacuum suction tool.
Procedure:
Identify the Faulty Module: Locate the specific module exhibiting dead pixels, color mismatch, or complete blackout. It is not necessary to power down the entire wall, as Pensar LED modules support hot-swapping.
Prepare the Removal Tool: Ensure your vacuum suction tool is charged. Place the suction cup firmly in the center of the LED module. Avoid placing pressure directly on the LED lamp beads (SMDs) to prevent damage to the mask.
Detach the Module: Activate the suction mechanism. Pull the tool strictly perpendicular to the video wall surface. Do not pry at an angle, as this may damage the PCB connectors or the adjacent modules.
Disconnect Cabling: Once the module is released from the magnetic mounts, carefully tilt it to access the rear. Disconnect the flat ribbon data cable and the DC power cable. Inspect the cables for any signs of oxidation or crimping.
Install the Replacement: Connect the power and data cables to the new module. Ensure the arrow on the PCB points in the same direction as the rest of the wall (usually Up or Right). Align the guide pins with the cabinet holes and gently push until the magnets engage.
Calibration: Once installed, the module may require brightness or chroma correction. Use the control software to upload the specific
.rcfg(Receiving Card Configuration) file associated with that batch number.
