Isolate and resolve intermittent flickering or "noise" on specific sections of your video wall caused by electromagnetic interference or loose data ribbon cables.
Step 1: Check Cable Seating Flickering that affects a single module or row often indicates a loose flat ribbon cable.
Remove the flickering module using the vacuum tool.
Inspect the ribbon cable pins for bending.
Reseat the cable firmly on both the Hub board and the Module side.
Step 2: Isolate Ground Loops If the entire wall flickers or shows horizontal rolling bars, this may indicate a ground loop issue in the facility's power grid.
Ensure the video processor and the LED wall main power distribution box are sharing the same earth ground reference.
Test by running the video processor on a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) to isolate it from "dirty" building power.
Step 3: Firmware Version Match Flickering can occur if a newly replaced receiving card has a different firmware version than the rest of the wall.
Connect to the control software.
Read the firmware version of a working cabinet.
Select the flickering cabinet and use the "Update Firmware" function to match the version exactly.
